Jackson County Roleplay ("JCRP", "we", "us") is a community-run Emergency Response: Liberty County (ER:LC) roleplay community on Roblox. We are a hobbyist community, not a registered company.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") cover:
jacksoncountyroleplay.com — our public website, marketplace and staff panel.
Our Discord server — the community itself, including its channels and rules.
Our roleplay activity on our ER:LC private server.
Together these are "the Services". By joining our Discord server, using our bots, visiting our website, buying anything from our marketplace, or playing on our ER:LC private server, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
These Terms work alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect and how. If the two ever conflict on a data question, the Privacy Policy controls.
2. Eligibility
You must meet Discord's and Roblox's minimum age requirements to use their platforms — generally 13 years old, or older where local law requires it. By using the Services you confirm you meet that requirement.
You also need a working Discord account and, for in-game features, a Roblox account. You are responsible for anything that happens through your accounts while you are logged in.
3. The services
JCRP provides a Discord community and supporting tools built around ER:LC roleplay, including:
Server departments, ranks, and staff applications.
Automatic In-Game role syncing based on who is currently connected to our private server.
Support tickets, ticket transcripts, and a staff web panel.
Community features such as music playback and text-to-speech.
A marketplace for optional purchases and donations.
We are a volunteer-run community. We do not promise the Services will always be available, bug-free, or unchanged. Features, channels, ranks and the private server itself can be added, changed or removed at any time, including without notice.
4. Your accounts
Your access to JCRP runs through your Discord account, and through Roblox for in-game features. We do not create or manage those accounts — Discord Inc. and Roblox Corporation do, under their own terms:
You agree to follow those platforms' rules in addition to ours. Losing access to your Discord or Roblox account, or having it suspended by Discord or Roblox, may cost you access to JCRP — that is outside our control.
If you link your Roblox account to Discord through Bloxlink, you are responsible for making sure that link is accurate. Impersonating another member's account or in-game identity is not allowed.
5. Community rules and conduct
Using JCRP means following the rules posted in our Discord server (including the rules channel and staff handbook), our roleplay standards for the ER:LC private server, and Discord's and Roblox's own Community Guidelines and Terms of Use.
In general, you agree not to:
Harass, threaten, or discriminate against another member.
Share illegal content, or content that violates Discord's or Roblox's policies (including sexual content involving minors, extreme violence, or content promoting self-harm).
Attempt to exploit, cheat on, or disrupt our ER:LC private server, our bots, or our website.
Impersonate staff, other members, or JCRP itself.
Advertise other servers or communities without permission.
Circumvent a ban, blacklist, timeout or other punishment, including by using an alternate account.
Abuse our support ticket system, deletion tools, or appeal process in bad faith.
The rules posted in our Discord server take priority for day-to-day conduct; these Terms set the overall legal relationship between you and us.
6. Moderation, bans and appeals
Our staff team may warn, mute, kick, ban or blacklist any member, remove any content, or restrict access to any feature, at our discretion, for breaking our rules or these Terms, or for behaviour we reasonably believe puts the community at risk.
We keep a record of moderation actions, including warnings, strikes and bans, so that punishments cannot be evaded and so appeals can be reviewed fairly. This is described in our Privacy Policy.
If you believe a moderation action was made in error, you may appeal it through the process described in our server (typically a ban-appeal form or a Management Support ticket). Decisions on appeals are made at staff discretion and are not guaranteed to change the original outcome.
7. Purchases and donations
Our marketplace offers optional perks, cosmetics and roles in exchange for Robux or USD. These are entirely optional — nothing in this section is required to participate in the community.
Virtual items only. Everything sold on our marketplace is a virtual perk (such as a Discord role, in-game livery, or cosmetic) delivered inside Discord or Roblox. It has no cash value, cannot be redeemed for real money, and exists at our discretion — we can modify or discontinue any perk at any time.
Claiming a purchase. Purchases are claimed by opening a ticket in our Discord server as described on the marketplace page. You are responsible for providing accurate proof of purchase.
Payment processing. USD payments and Robux payments are handled by Roblox and our third-party payment processor, not by us directly. We do not store your payment card details. Refunds, chargebacks and billing disputes for Robux purchases are subject to Roblox's own policies.
Refunds. Because purchases are virtual perks delivered immediately on request, we do not offer refunds except where required by law or where we were unable to deliver the perk you paid for. If something goes wrong with a purchase, open a support ticket and we will make it right.
Donations. Donations are voluntary support for the community. They are not tax-deductible (we are not a registered charity or nonprofit), and any donation perk (such as the Donator role) is provided at our discretion, not as a contractual obligation.
Losing access. If your access to JCRP is removed for breaking our rules, purchased perks tied to your Discord account may be removed with it. This does not entitle you to a refund.
Alternate payment methods. If you cannot pay with Robux or the USD options listed on the marketplace, open a Management Support ticket to arrange another way to pay.
Roleplay tiers
Non-transferable. A tier you own is tied to your own Discord account and cannot be given, sold, or transferred to another member. You may, however, buy a tier as a gift for someone else at the time of purchase.
Tied to server membership. Leaving our Discord server automatically voids your tier. You lose access to its perks immediately, and you will need to repurchase the tier if you rejoin — we do not restore a voided tier for free.
Moderation reset. Where a tier includes a moderation review or reset perk, it does not cover, remove, or reduce bans issued for violating Roblox's Terms of Service — those are outside our control and outside the scope of anything we sell. We may also reject a reset request if we suspect it is being made in bad faith or to game the system.
8. Your content
You keep ownership of anything you post in our Discord server, tickets, applications, or elsewhere in the Services. By posting it, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, store, moderate and (where relevant, such as ticket transcripts) reproduce that content as part of operating the Services.
You are responsible for what you post. Do not post anything you do not have the right to share, or anything that infringes someone else's rights.
We may remove any content at any time, for any reason, including content that breaks our rules or these Terms.
9. Ownership and branding
The JCRP name, logo, and original graphics, code and roleplay materials belong to Jackson County Roleplay or its contributors. You may not use our branding to imply an official partnership without our permission.
We are an independent, fan-run community and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Roblox Corporation, Discord Inc., or the developers of Emergency Response: Liberty County. All trademarks, logos and brand names belonging to those parties are the property of their respective owners.
10. Third-party platforms
The Services run on top of platforms and tools we do not control, including Discord, Roblox, ER:LC, Bloxlink, Melonly, and our hosting and database providers. Their availability, features, and policies can change at any time, and outages or changes on their end can affect JCRP even though we did not cause them.
We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of these third parties. Your use of them is governed by their own terms, in addition to ours.
11. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any particular perk, feature, rank or channel will continue to exist.
We are a volunteer community, not a professional service provider. Nothing on our website, bots or Discord server constitutes legal, financial or professional advice.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, JCRP, its staff, and its volunteer developers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Services — including loss of data, loss of virtual items, or loss of access to your account on a third-party platform.
Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for anything that cannot legally be limited, such as fraud.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time by leaving our Discord server, unlinking your Roblox account, and no longer visiting our website.
We may suspend or terminate your access to any part of the Services at any time, with or without notice, for breaking our rules or these Terms, or for any other reason at our discretion. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — continue to apply after your access ends.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as our community and features change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version, and material changes will be announced in our Discord server. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, to the extent applicable to a volunteer-run community.
Most disagreements are best resolved informally — open a Management Support ticket and talk to our staff team first. If a dispute cannot be resolved that way and needs to go further, it will be handled in accordance with the laws referenced above.
16. Contact
For any question about these Terms, open a Management Support ticket in the Jackson County Roleplay Discord server: discord.gg/jcrp.
